E-Waste Management in Rwanda: A Situational and Capacity Need Assessment

This study analyzed e-waste management and capacity need assessment for both the city of Kigali secondary cities in Rwanda. Questionnaires were used to obtain primary data. Data collected during this have been using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS v.2020). Using qualitative quantitative data on management, showed that a large number respondents repair reuse (38.1%) main environmental concerns found be waste problems (reported by 77.3% respondents), water pollution (36.2%), air (20%), whereas regarding health effects, chronic diseases major concern (21.6%). Results significant association between education levels awareness dissemination, with respect Rwanda’s legislation general knowledge. urgency introduce an extended producer responsibility (EPR) approach. It recommends introduction disposal fee every sale electrical electronic equipment (EEE).
